Hemant Industries was started by Dr. P.T. Shah, an entrepreneur in 1971 with the goal of serving this country by producing import substitution items and therefore preserving its foreign exchange.
As a manufacturer and supplier, we offer Flange Guards (MOC: PP, MS, SS, GI, MSRL), Industrial Air Movers/Air Ejectors, Excess Flow Valves, Pop-up Valves, Safety Relief Valves, Safety Kits, and many other products. The majority of the industries in and around Baroda, including the likes of IPCL, GSFC, L&T, Tata Chemicals, United Phosphorus Ltd., IOC, GACL, and many others have been served by us.

We are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of Flange Guards and Industrial Air Movers in India, manufacturing since 1971. We offer a comprehensive range of products which include Flange Guards, Industrial Air Movers, Safety Fittings, Safety Valves and many other products.
In the early 1970s, there was an important boost in the industrial scenario. With high technological growth and to meet the market needs, a number of industries were established, some with international participation and some indigenous. Due to the rapid growth, it was realized that small-scale enterprises were necessary to provide services to large and medium-sized industries. It was also realized that developing units and appointing technocrats who could manufacture equipment under import substitution was also considered to reduce the amount of foreign exchange that impact the economy of our country.
Around this time, Dr. P T Shah, a senior production engineer at M/s. Jyoti Ltd. in Baroda who was then working under the capable direction of Shri Nanubhai Amin, made a big step and established HEMANT INDUSTRIES, a tiny business, on small-scale industry at GIDC Estate, Makarpura, Baroda. This was done with the long-term goal of serving the Indian economy and developing nation. He provided his services to large and medium-sized enterprises in and around Baroda and the entire state of Gujarat, drawing on his experiences at Tata Chemicals Ltd., Sayaji Iron, and Jyoti Ltd. as well as his ongoing exposure to numerous industry sectors and the hunger of learning and in-depth research. He worked on fabrication and manufacturing of equipment, and more on import substitution items.
Aside from import replacement goods, Hemant Industries produced ball valves, the first of their kind in Gujarat, which were delivered to the Baroda Municipal Gas line project. Additionally, the company served to numerous medium- and large-scale companies by providing Vernier manometers, 3 and 5 way manifold valves, and needle valves that are used in industrial instrumentation applications.
As our owner, Dr. P.T. Shah was a renowned safety consultant, ensuring safety was our first priority. Our associate company, Shanti Consulting Engineers, also hold expertise in areas like Inspections under PESO Norms, SMPV(U) Rules, Third Party Inspections, Petroleum Rules, and Factory Act Inspections. The company gradually shifted to producing different safety-related items as demand increased, and as a result, it began producing Flange Guards and Air Movers.
In 1997, the company began commercial production of various fittings under PESO regulations, utilising its in-house infrastructure for design, manufacturing, raw material inspection, and testing benches for all products. In the present time, the company has established standard operating processes for producing high-quality, and precisely-manufactured items.
